Hot Coding Foil

Hot Coding Foil is a PET-based hot stamping film applied on hot date coding machines. Under heat and pressure, the pigment layer transfers onto packaging surfaces to print production dates, expiry dates, batch numbers and lot codes. No liquid ink is needed, instant dry, stable and durable marks for continuous packaging production lines.

Working Principle

The foil is structured with PET base film, release layer, color ink layer and adhesive layer. When heated metal characters press onto the foil, heat melts the ink and adhesive layer. The color layer separates from the PET carrier and firmly bonds to packaging materials to form clear printed characters.
